What is Credit Advance?
Digicel Credit Advance gives you the opportunity to request credit and make use of our services when you do not have sufficient funds.
How does the service work?
Only Prepaid customers will have the opportunity to request Credit Advance.
How do I activate the Digicel Advance Service?
Customers can use this service by dialing *123# or *170# and follow the instructions received.
They may also request this in My Digicel, under My Plans Category.
Is there any service charge on My Credit Advance?
There is a fee that will be deducted on repayment of the Credit Advance. Please see break down below.
- FL 2.00 – FL 0.30 Charge
- FL 4.00 – FL 0.60 Charge
- FL 6.00 – FL 0.90 Charge
- FL 10.00 – FL 1.50 Charge
How can I use the Credit Advance?
This new set up will not only allow you to finish your call, but you can also use it to buy any plan of your choice. The loan amount will be credited on your main account so it will be visible on your main balance inquiry (*142#). The credit can be used at any time and there are no restrictions on activating the loan, or how the credit can be used.
How can I check my Credit Advance balance?
Prepaid customers will be able to check their Credit Advance balance by dialing *142#, or with the My Digicel App, under the Account & Balances category, as Credit Advance Open Balance.
Do I need to have credit on my phone to qualify for a Credit Advance?
No, a Credit Advance can be taken at any time. However, there are restrictions on the amount of credit advance that you can apply for. The amount you are entitled to will be displayed in your My Digicel Account, under Account & Balances category, as Credit Advance Open Balance.
How many times can I request a Credit Advance?
You may request an advance as many times as you wish, after repaying any advances previously taken. In other words,you must repay any outstanding advance before you can request a 2nd Credit Advance.
Customers who try to request a new loan with an open balance will get the following notification:
You still have an open credit balance from previous Credit Advance. Please Top-Up in order to clear this amount, so that Credit Advance can be activated again.
Customers with an open balance who top-up will get the following notification:
Thank you for Topping-Up. Your outstanding amount of Credit Advance has been cleared.
Customer who Top-up with a voucher denomination lower than the amount owing will receive the following notification to do another Top-up:
- ENG: Thank you for Topping Up, the amount was not sufficient to fully clear the amount owed for Credit Advance. Further top up required to clear outstanding amount
- SPA: Gracias por recargar, el monto no fue suficiente para saldar el total adeudado a Credit Advance. Con la siguiente recarga deberas cubrir el resto del adelanto
- PAP: Danki pa Top Up, e kantidat ku bo a rekarga no ta sufisiente pa kubri e montante di Credit Advance. Mas Top Up ta neserario pa kompleta e montante total
- NL: Bedankt voor het opwaarderen, het is echter onvoldoende om het verschuldigde Credit Advance bedrag af te schrijven. Gelieve nogmaals uw tegoed opwaarderen
The 10 Naf is not showing when I use the USSD code *123# or *170#, why?
10.00 Naf Loan is only available for Qualified based only.
How do I know if I’m qualified to activate the 10 Naf?
You are required to be an active customer for a minimum of 3 months & do at least 1 top up per month (6lforin or more) over the last 3 months, to be qualified.
Is there an expiry date on the Credit Advance requested?
No. The credit received from the Credit Advance request will not expire and will remain on the account until it has been used.
Can I use this service while roaming?
Yes. Customers will be able to request a credit advance when roaming.
Are there any restrictions for the use of the credit received from a Credit Advance request?
No. Credit received from a credit advance can be used for all network services, such as calls, SMS, Credit U and plan activations.
What happens if I repay my credit advance before exhausting the credit received from my Credit Advance requested?
Credit received from the Credit Advance will be available until it is used.
What is the rate for calls when using the Credit Advance credit?
Rates charged from the credit advance balance will be the same as the prepaid rates.
